Okamiden takes place a few months after the events of Okami, and follows the adventures of Chibiterasu, a young son god who is summoned to protect the land, following in the footsteps of its parent Amaterasu. Okamiden takes all the best elements of the Okami series and combines them with new features delivering an adventure that will please fans of the series and newcomers.
The touch screen and stylus of the Nintendo DS are the ideal tools to simulate the trademark celestial brush, and brushstrokes are pressure sensitive that accurately depicts the look and feel of the Sumi-e art, use the celestial brush to draw bridges, connect winding paths and transverse canyons, slash and bloom.
With the same compelling narrative that Okami brought us, that is both morally impactful and fun, with themes such as friendship, players are promised a memorable experience that will be appreciated by all. The main character Chibiterasu is a young pup, and will partner up with an endearing cast of characters while restoring order to the land, whilst most characters players will have already met in Okami, there will also be several new ones.
Okamiden will be available for the Nintendo DS in 2011.
