With The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's release just around the corner excitement is starting to bleed its way onto the internet. Not only are playable builds being shown at events, but exclusivity rights are also being grabbed.
So firstly if you're an Elder Scrolls fan get ready to pop to PAX this weekend if you're in America or go over to the Eurogamer Expo in London to have a chance to give it a go as well. There hasn't been any confirmation to if it's just the character creator which is playable at Eurogamer Expo or if it's a section of the game to get your mits into, we're hoping it's the latter. The Eurogamer Expo is taking place between the 22nd-25th September and tickets are selling out fast so pop to the website to buy tickets so you can play some Skyrim! We didn't even get to play it at E3 so it's a great exclusive for the UK.
As well as having a chance to check out the character creator, Microsoft have now announced that Xbox Live is going to have exclusivity for the first two pieces of DLC for Skyrim for the first 30 days. Then afterwards other platforms will gain access to the DLC. So if you're looking forward to DLC it would seem Xbox 360 is the platform to buy it on. Although if you don't mind waiting for the DLC you can pick it up on whichever platform you prefer.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due for release on 11/11/11, fingers crossed the release doesn't slip as it's a pretty great date to come out on. Skyrim will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows. Also don't forget you can pre-order the Skyrim collector's edition.
Also just in case you were wondering what the character creation is like for Skyrim I've popped together a picture of my favourite head shots from the images that Bethesda recently released.
