It has gone and happened, just when you thought your copy of Mass Effect 2 was worn out from all the DLC, playing on Insane difficulty and you were on the verge of selling it, Bioware have announced that Mass Effect: Arrival, the last and final piece of DLC for the critically acclaimed Mass Effect 2 will be out at the end of the month.
Like any true villain, the Reapers are preparing to make their return at the edge of the galaxy, but will Commander Shepard still have what it takes to stand in their way? Mass Effect: Arrival sends Commander Shepard to that very edge of the galaxy to rescue an undercover operative who is said to have evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion that has been looming since the beginning of the series. The fantastic Admiral Hackett returns in Arrival, those of you who need their memory refreshed, Hackett was of the Alliance Fifth Fleet in Mass Effect giving you side missions on uncharted worlds, he was also the kind soul that sent you the whereabouts of the Normandy crash site.
This final piece of PDLC is also said to finalise the link between the end of Mass Effect 2 and the start of Mass Effect 3, so keep your eyes peeled, and your brain switched on; you might find out a few clues to the last game in the series.
Mass Effect: Arrival will be available March 29th on Xbox 360, PC and Playstation 3 for 560 Microsoft/Bioware Points and £5.49 respectively, and will include 3 achievements/trophies, so your 100% marker will be ripped from you once again.
