Along with Microsoft's other announcements of the launch games for Windows Phone 7 and Age of Empires Online, they have officially given a release date for Kinect, the new Xbox 360 accessory that promises a controller-free environment for those that want a new way to control their console and games.
Kinect will launch on the 10th of November this year, on a bit of a strange date as it’s a Wednesday. We expect a large amount of the games announced to be out either on the 10th or in the following weeks.
Gamescom 2010 has been called the European premiere of Kinect, showing the largest breadth of games to date, including more than 15 exclusive Kinect games, as well as new gameplay features/levels for Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals, Dance Central and Kinect Joyride. New games have been announced such as Fighters Uncaged, DanceEvolution and support for Kinect in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, and we’re sure there’s more to come while Gamescom is underway.
The team at Gamercast cannot wait for Kinect to come out, we've even got a deposit sorted, it's coming out at a great time of the year just before Christmas, meaning there should hopefully be more titles announced in the upcoming months, or we hope so. It's early stages for this new accessory and we hope it does well as it is quite fun playing a game without the controller.
