The date where fans can finally jump back into the boots of Master Chief has been announced, Halo 4 is now set for an early November release, pitting it up against the likes of Assassin's Creed III and close to the release of BioShock Infinite.
Halo 4 is of course the sequel that was never expected to happen in terms of story, but for commercial success it was always on the table. Set four years after Halo 3, Master Chief is back and he's back to kick some bum, but what enemy that is nobody knows at the moment.
Developed instead by 343 Industries instead of Bungie, Halo 4 is the first game to be fully developed by the Washington based studio and I can't imagine anything but a great game as Microsoft wouldn't put them in charge of one of their biggest IPs if they wouldn't do a great job.
"We are beginning a new saga with 'Halo 4' and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of 'Halo' games and experiences," said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios. "Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and with 'Halo 4' leading the charge, we're confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history."
Halo 4 is due for release on the 6th of November and is of course exclusive to Xbox 360, there's sure to be some gameplay shown at E3 so we can't wait to cast our eyes on it!
