The day you have been waiting for has arrived! Guacamelee! The upcoming game from DrinkBox Studios has been given a release date! Plus it features cross-buy support as well so if you purchase it on Playstation 3 or Playstation Vita you'll automatically have it on both for no extra charge.

Guacamelee is a puzzle based platform game, set within a magical Mexican inspired world. It takes inspiration from traditional Mexican culture and folklore allowing the game to feature some very unique characters. However you aren't just fighting and making your way through a standard world, there is another dimension within the game that you use to solve puzzles and get through otherwise blocked off locations. You play Juan Agucate who wants to save El Presidente's daughter, who was kidnapped by an Evil Charro Skeleton.

I played Guacamelee! at Rezzed during the middle of last year and really enjoyed the demo level, so I can't wait to play the full game. Guacamelee is set for release on April 10th on the Playstation Network for a currently unannounced price.
