It may have been a long time coming for some fans, but the release of Fable III for PC is just around the corner, and as important as choice has always been, even consumers have been given the choice for their platform. So whether you are addicted to increasing your steam collection, need the achievements in Games for Windows Live, or just want a retail copy, heck you can do all three if you really want!
Fable III is available for pre-order on Steam, and Games for Windows Marketplace, and to bring more loyal fans to the incredibly good Games for Windows Marketplace, any pre-orders made through the direct download service will receive a free copy of Fable: Lost Chapters to give them a good nostalgia trip before they become the ruler of a nation. However they aren’t favouring the Games for Windows Marketplace completely, because Steam fans will also be rewarded for pre-ordering from their download service, and will receive the Rebel’s Weapon & Tattoo Pack; a collection of four exclusive weapons, and five exclusive tattoo sets to customise their rebel hero... not that they are trying to sway you towards being a good guy!
Purchasing Fable III from either options will give players the same exciting content that Xbox 360 users get, including the add-ons like Traitor’s Keep, as well as new features like the challenging ‘Hardcore’ mode for the more astute of you, not to mention 3-D functionality. Fable III will see release on the PC through Steam, Games for Windows Marketplace and at retail May 20th for an ERP of £34.99.
