Get ready to suit up in your armour and sharpen your swords as Bioware have announced the third instalment in their award-winning role-playing game franchise; Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is being scheduled for a late 2013 release window and what makes it more impressive is it has been developed using a brand new RPG engine underpinned by DICE's hugely successful Frostbite 2 technology.
"The Dragon Age team has been working on Dragon Age 3: Inquisition for almost two years now," said Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal.
With the fans eagerly awaiting the next big story and deep RPG gameplay, Flynn seems confident Bioware have listened intently to their fans to bring the best game into the series. So hopefully they'll learn from the previous games and DLC and make the best fantasy Bioware RPG yet.
The Frostbite 2 engine has already demonstrated its innovative properties with Battlefield 3, this also shows that Frostbite 2 will then be useful to make RPGs, perhaps EA will reboot or continue other franchises in it.
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is due for release late 2013 with no specific month or confirmation of platforms, but for now we'll presume it's coming out on Windows, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
