One massive announcement that slipped us by because of E3 was the new DLC for Crusader Kings II; Sword of Islam allowing players to finally take on the role of Muslim rulers, the news may be a week old, but for those of you that may have also got a bit caught up with E3 here you go!
The DLC is scheduled alongside patch 1.06 which also adds new features to the game such as an expansion of the map into Mali-Songhay, differentiation on strong and weak claims, new plots, expanded combat and more, and I was happy enough with Crusader Kings II as it was!
The Sword of Islam DLC allows players to rule as Muslim lords which delivers a selection of new mechanics that are distinctive to these rulers making for a whole new gameplay experience with laws, marriage, holding, traits, titles and more working completely differently to the rulers of the West.
Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam and patch 1.06 are scheduled for a release during June 2012 for PC and Mac, priced at £7.99 for the DLC.
