The relatively new development studio DrinkBox Studios have announced it’s first console title that will be coming to the Playstation Network towards the end of the year.

Tales from Space: About a Blob is based around an innocent blob that eats and eats until it grows big enough to eat the whole world. Think Loco Roco, but rather than eating cute little flying balls, you are eating anything edible in sight. The game features a great monster-movie setting, and a b-movie theme, with retro-inspired art and puzzle-focused platforming gameplay.

“Players will interact with the game environment using unique growth and absorption control mechanics, experiencing the world at vastly different scales as they progress. Both single-player and co-op play will be supported.” said Ryan MacLean, CEO of DrinkBox Studios. He continued: “We’re extremely excited to be releasing the game on the PlayStation®3 system.”

Tales from Space: About a Blob will have a demo showing off the game at the Sony Booth at E3, here’s the official E3 trailer for it, personally we think it looks amazing, and the Blob characters look adorable, let’s hope there’s a steady stream of news on the title up until it’s release at the end of this year.
